At Ryerss Farm, our barn
doors are open to all equine breeds. Residents range from the
small Pony of the Americas, to the versatile Quarter Horse, to
the large draft horse, just to name a few. And, our residents
boast a variety of career paths. Some walked the trails,
providing a comfortable ride for their trusting companions.
Others performed in the ring after countless hours of practice.
Also, several served in the pharmaceutical industry saving lives
by humbly giving their blood to generate snakebite or black
widow spider anti-venom. Others served on police forces, going
out on patrol, rescuing victims and performing in ceremonies.
And some ran the track, striding to win, even if only winning by
the nose. Still others haven’t led such glamorous careers.
They retired after being rescued from abusive situations or
saved from a slaughterhouse. They all have a story to tell. To
